I was in Chicago last weekend for a conference sponsored by 3M. They put us up in this hotel that was pretty nice. This is the lobby. Our hotel was across the street from Millenium Park where you'd find this sculpture called "Cloud Gate."
This is the famous water tower on the Miracle mile. The purple glow is coming from the John Hancock Tower.
The Chicago river is really pretty how it runs through the city.
Another sculpture in Millenium Park
This is from the top of the Sears (now the Willis) Tower.
They built these "glass boxes" that you can stand in 97 floors up. Crazy!

Those are such amazing pictures! You should submit them to a magazine! Really! Mom
Tom Gessel,
You need to be a photojournalist. Your pictures are absolutely incredible!!!
I agree with your mom you need to submit them.
Always really enjoy looking at your pictures!
Glad you liked our town! You are so brave to go out in the glass box at the Willis Tower. I am not going to do that, heart attack! You took some very beautiful pictures! The "bean" is my favorite attraction to go see, I love it! Penni
We slept in parking lots. All things go. All things go. I fell in love with the place.
