More camera fun - Portraits!

Tom's New Camera Adventure

I realized recently that my clinic photographs were subpar, so I decided to buy a new camera. I got a Canon Digital Rebel XSi. Drew wanted me to post some photos, so I took a walk around my neighborhood this evening to get some shots. It's gonna take some practice to figure out all the settings, and how to get the best shot. That being said, I think this is an amazing camera. All these shots were taken without the flash.
This one was taken with a 100mm macro lens. I like the shallow depth of field.

I've realized that I take pictures of almost anything my kids do that I think is "cute." And since they are my kids I probably think a lot of the things that they do are cute, while other people wouldn't think so at all. So maybe since you are uncles/grandparents you will think so too.
